Baptist Home Health Care Earns a Perfect Score AHCA Survey
Jacksonville, Florida, August 18, 2010 -- Jacksonville, Florida, August 18, 2010 – Baptist Home Health Care passed its survey by the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) with zero deficiencies. AHCA was on-site July 19 – 23 to complete the state and federal audit. Two surveyors audited patient charts and employee files. They also accompanied nurses, medical social workers, home health aides and physical, occupational and speech therapists on home visits.
"I have been in home health for more than 20 years, and this was the smoothest survey I have ever been through," says Lisa Kidd, RN, BSN, NE-BC, administrator, Baptist Home Health Care.
In a period when patient care has become more complex and regulations more complicated, the staff of Baptist Home Health Care has done an excellent job documenting all those complexities and the communication that takes place with other clinicians, patients and their families, Kidd says.
"I am always confident that we provide the highest level of care possible, but it is great to have that affirmation from an objective regulatory body," Kidd adds. "Thanks go to all of the clinicians and support staff, because it is the hard work that they put in every day that makes a survey successful and allows us to provide excellent patient care."
