From the Doctor
After growing up in Jacksonville and enjoying everything about the area, I graduated from MIT and planned on returning to Florida. I graduated medical school at the University of Florida in the top of the class with AOA honors, then went to Halifax in Daytona for my residency and fellowship in sports medicine. After being board certified in Family Practice with added certification to practice sports medicine, I knew I wanted to practice in my hometown with my partner Dr. Browning, whom I knew from my childhood.
By choosing family medicine, I can enjoy practicing non-operative sports medicine as well as treat hypertension, cardiovascular disease and even pediatrics. I enjoy a family-oriented approach with a focus on prevention, believing the old adage "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." I would like my patients to feel they are getting a doctor who is conscientious, knowledgeable and passionate about health care, and who enjoys serving the neighborhoods in which he grew up.
Out of the office, I am an avid sports fan on all levels of high school, college and professional. Given my close ties, I have allegiance to Bolles, Gators and Jags. I am a fitness freak, especially endurance sports. Being a high school and collegiate golfer, I follow the PGA and support the Players Championship at the TPC. I also have a great interest in nutrition and Wall Street.
