      From the Doctor

      I grew up in Jacksonville and have lived and studied in West Virginia, England and the West Indies. Although I've seen a lot of the world, this is the place I truly call home.

      My two children are young, and I feel it is important balance the needs of my family with the needs of my patients. Fortunately, we have great teamwork and support in my office, allowing me the flexibility to maintain a part-time office schedule while assuring the needs of my patients are met around the clock. I also participate in clinical research.

      In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, running, knitting, sewing, and helping with church mission work in Jamaica.

        • Photograph of Amanda Huffman, ARNP Amanda graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing from Purdue University. She is an advanced registered nurse practitioner who is board-certified in family practice. Huffman provides services in family practice, pediatrics, women's health, preventative medicine and acute care and performs minor office procedures. Huffman is married with two sons, ages 3 and 18 months. She enjoys working out, running, playing tennis and spending time with her family and friends. She is a member of the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville, St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
