      From the Doctor

      I grew up on the Westside of Jacksonville, attended Episcopal High School, and now live in Atlantic Beach.

      In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf, traveling, and spending time with my wife, Dianne and our three daughters. I attend Beach United Methodist Church.

Carr, who has lived in Jacksonville for 20 years, specializes in preventive and acute care. She is a mother and grandmother who worked for 17 years as a volunteer for The Players Championship, and she also rescues retired greyhounds.

        • Photograph of Melinda Strickland, ARNP Melinda received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Florida and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida. A member of the Northeast Florida Nurse Practitioner Association, she specializes in preventive care, women's health, adolescent care, diabetes and acute care. She is also working toward a certification in pediatric nursing. She lives with her twin sister, also an ARNP, and enjoys golfing, playing tennis and watching Gator sports.
