Richard Townsend, MD, has served as a flight surgeon with a U.S. Navy squadron. He enjoys taking care of the entire family, from newborns to geriatric patients. Dr. Townsend's approach is to put the patient's needs first while helping the entire family to enjoy better health. He is known for his compassion, caring and competence.       From the Doctor

      In addition to caring for patients and families, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our two daughters, ages 4 and 6, and our three dogs. I am interested in sports, especially the Jaguars, as well as boating, fishing and golfing.

      I have lived in this area for nearly my entire life. I am involved with the Liberty Pines Academy Developmental Football League and the Creekside Athletic Association in my community.
